A company's environmental and social performance is as measurable as its financial and economic performance.
Being a B Corp means measuring the positive impact of one's operations.
What is B Corp Certification?
This is a certification issued by the U.S. nonprofit B Lab. It is a statement attesting to the company's commitment to environmental and social issues.
How does one become a B Corp?
Achieving B Corp Certification requires a rigorous process of measurement and analysis of the company's sustainability profile by B Lab. If you meet the strict parameters required by the body, you can become a B Corp. The assessment considers five macro areas in addition to the business model: governance, community, people, environment and customers.
How long does B Corp Certification take?
B Corp Certification is valid for three years from the date it is obtained. This means that three years after the date of certification you are required to submit an updated assessment of the company. The assessment will go through the same previous review process.
B Corp Certification is proof that we are committed to improving our positive impact on the environment and
people. Here's how we do it.
Governance, Community and Environment
On the governance front, our commitment to reducing our socio-environmental impact, our ethics and transparency in sharing information with stakeholders were evaluated.
At the community relations level, our ability to create jobs both within the company and through the supply chain was investigated.
In terms of environmental impact, consumption efficiency, life cycle of products used, emissions, waste generated, and transportation were evaluated.
Workers and Client Management
The section on workers examined how our company manages its human resources with special reference to salaries, training activities, benefits and corporate welfare tools.
Regarding customers, the positive impact of products and services on consumers' lives was examined.
